1. Who we are
Shedyule ("we", "us") is an app built and maintained by Element Software Ltd (element-software.co.uk), and provides a content planning and scheduling tool at https://app.shedyule.com. This policy explains what data we collect through our website and product, why, and how you can control it.
2. Data we collect
Account data: name, email address, and organization details you provide when you sign up or sign in.
Lead data: website URLs you submit on our marketing site (including before you create an account).
Content data: posts, drafts, media, and scheduling information you create in the product.
Connected account data: when you link a social platform (e.g. LinkedIn), we store an encrypted access token so we can publish on your behalf. We never store your social platform password.
Usage data: pages visited and product interactions, collected via PostHog, to help us understand how the product is used and fix problems.
Communications: messages you send us via the contact form or email.
3. How we use your data
To provide the service: authenticate you, save your content, publish scheduled posts to the social accounts you connect, and pre-fill or run website analysis when you continue into the product after submitting a URL on our marketing site.
To communicate with you: respond to support requests and send essential account or service notices.
To improve the product: aggregate, anonymized usage analytics.
For marketing: we may use lead information (such as the website URL you submitted) to understand interest in Shedyule and to follow up with relevant communications.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content to train third-party models.
4. Third parties we share data with
Social platforms (e.g. LinkedIn): to publish content you schedule, via their official APIs.
PostHog: product analytics, under a data processing agreement.
Resend: to deliver transactional email (e.g. sign-in links).
Our hosting and database providers, solely to operate the service.
We only share what's needed for these providers to do their job, and never for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and, with your consent, to understand product usage. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and what each one is used for.
6. Data security
Social account access tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to production data is restricted to the team members who need it to operate the service.
7. Data retention
We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep it longer by law.
8. Your rights
